How much does Valeska cost?
Valeska is free for your first 7 days, with everything included. After that, one payment of $4.99 unlocks it for good. There is no subscription, no monthly fee, and no yearly fee. If you don’t unlock, your records stay readable: you can still view, export, back up, and delete them, and your reminders keep working. If you already had records in Valeska before this change, it stays free for you.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-in, no password, and no email. The app opens straight to your day.
Is my health information private?
Yes. Everything you log stays on your phone. On iPhone and iPad, your backup is encrypted and saved to your own iCloud. On Android, “Save a copy” makes an encrypted backup file you keep yourself. Only you can open your backup, with keys only you hold and a recovery code. Not even we can. The app has no ads, no analytics, and no crash reporting, and your data is never sold.
Do pattern checks send my health information anywhere?
No. Pattern checks happen on your phone. On supported devices, personalized wording is also prepared on-device rather than sending your notes to an outside writing service.
What conditions does Valeska work for?
More than 500. Whether it is MS, Crohn’s, migraine, lupus, an autoimmune condition, or something else, you can track the symptoms that matter to you.
Do I need to be online to use it?
No. Valeska works offline. On iPhone and iPad, it backs up an encrypted copy to your own iCloud when you are connected.
Is it hard to log things?
No. Most entries take a few seconds. Tap, talk, scan a barcode, or snap a label and Valeska turns it into a clear log.
Can I share with my doctor?
Yes. Valeska builds a clear Visit Prep summary of your recent history. You can save it as a PDF and hand it to your doctor or send it yourself.
Can a family member or caregiver help?
You can add family profiles to track a child or parent alongside your own records, all on your phone. To keep a loved one in the loop, send them a Visit Prep summary or save a copy of your records. Caregiver invites and syncing between devices have ended.
Does it connect to Apple Health?
Yes, if you want. You can let Valeska read things like steps, sleep, and heart rate to show alongside your other entries. You can also import your lab results and your provider medication list from Apple Health Records (United States only). Your lab results stay on your phone, and you can include them in your own doctor reports. It is optional, and you stay in control. On Android, Valeska works with Health Connect.
What devices does it work on?
Valeska is available for iPhone, iPad, and Android. Features that use Apple’s on-device intelligence require a supported device running iOS or iPadOS 26.
What if I get a new phone?
Restore from your encrypted backup. It is the first choice when you set up the app. Then tap Restore purchase so you don’t pay twice.
I had a Pro or Family subscription. What now?
You stay free for good. Please cancel the old subscription in your Apple Account settings, or in Google Play on Android. The app no longer sells subscriptions.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. You can delete everything from Settings in the app. Your records live on your phone and in your own backup, not with us.
Does Valeska diagnose or treat conditions?
No. Valeska is a personal health companion that helps you track and understand your health. It is not a medical device, and it does not diagnose, treat, or replace your care team.
