Valeska checks patterns on your phone. On supported iPhones, Apple's built-in tools can also prepare written summaries without sending your notes to an outside service.

Take it or delete it, anytime
Export your data or save an encrypted copy whenever you like. Or erase everything on your phone and delete your backup.
Why we built it this way.
Most health apps work the other way around. Your symptoms, periods, and moods go up to a company's servers, where they can be studied, shared, or sold. Mozilla's Privacy Not Included guide has reviewed a long list of health and period apps and found that a lot of them collect and share more than people expect. We did not want to be one of them.
So Valeska keeps your records on your phone and does its pattern work there too, not in an outside writing service. You can read the full details, including how your backup is protected, on thehow it works and your privacy page.

A backup only you can open.
On iPhone and iPad, Valeska backs up to your own iCloud. Your records are locked on your phone before they leave it, with keys only you hold, plus a recovery code. No one else can open your backup. Not even we can. Getting a new phone? Restore from your backup when you set up Valeska.
On Android, the next update brings the same model. Your records stay on your phone, and “Save a copy” makes an encrypted backup file you can keep anywhere you like.
Want to share with your doctor or a loved one? Send them a Visit Prep summary or a saved copy. You choose what goes, and when.
Your lab results stay on your phone.
Valeska can import your lab results from Apple Health Records. They stay on your phone and in your own encrypted backup. We never receive them, and they are never included in written pattern summaries. You can include them in your own doctor reports, and that is the only time anyone else sees them.
Medications you import from your providers work just like the ones you add yourself. You review each one first, so nothing is added without you.
